Hi. Welcome to my blog where I give art tips, techniques, tutorials and practical advise in a variety of art mediums. You are welcome to download some of the notes that I offer about tips and techniques in the section, Easel Notes PDF’s.

I had always wanted to be a full time artist since I was a kid, but practicality always crept in. When I moved to Arizona in 1993 from Oregon, it was the first time that I actually saw and met several artists that were making a living doing art. That was the dream that I always wanted. It was time for me to do more with my art. I started with the outdoor shows and found some success with that. After a couple of years, I realized that I knew so little. (Like any job, college is just the beginning.) I started enrolling in workshops at the Scottsdale Artists School where I was fortunate to be able to study with several prominent, nationally known artists.

My abilities as an artist have risen over time through hard work, training and painting over and over again. As an exhibiting member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists and several plein air organizations, I hold signature membership in some organizations and have won several awards. I continue to hone my skills, seek education and pass on the knowledge that I have gained through teaching workshops.
